Counseling Services

Are you questioning your use of alcohol or other drugs? Or are you concerned about a loved one? A chemically dependent person is anyone whose drinking and drug use interferes with family relationships, social and professional life, or health and well-being. Addiction is a non-discriminating disease that affects men and women of all ages, races and religions and at all socio-economic and educational levels.

The Valley Women's Center provides low-cost outpatient treatment in English, Spanish, Farsi, Russian and Hebrew for women and their family members at risk for alcohol, drugs and other threats to family stability. Sessions are scheduled by appointment after an initial evaluation by an experienced therapist. Fees are based on a sliding scale. We offer individual, family and couples counseling, and the following group therapies:

  • Self-Empowerment and Sharing
  • Women in Sobriety
  • Parenting Classes
  • Teen Girls Support Group
  • Divorce Group for Women

Twelve-step Meetings & Other Self-help Groups
A variety of 12-step and other self-help groups meet weekly at the Center, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and CODA.
